This Privacy Policy explains how Hayley's Pop & Platter (“Pop & Platter,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information collected through hayleyspopandplatter.com (the “Site”). It does not replace any separate terms in a proposal, invoice, or service agreement for your event.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you submit an inquiry, we collect your name, email address, and phone number. You may also provide an event date, event type, venue or location, guest count, requested services, colors or design ideas, and other details in your message.
Website and security information
Our hosting and security systems may process basic request information such as your IP address, browser or device type, requested page, date and time, and technical error information. We use this information to deliver the Site, prevent abuse, rate-limit form submissions, and troubleshoot problems.
Optional analytics
If you select Allow analytics, PostHog helps us understand limited website activity such as pages viewed, referral or campaign information, and selected actions like opening a gallery item or starting an inquiry. We do not identify you by name or email in PostHog, and session recording and automatic form capture are disabled.
2. How we use information
- Respond to inquiries and discuss availability, ideas, pricing, and event details.
- Prepare quotes and, if you book, provide and support the requested services.
- Operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site and inquiry form.
- Understand which pages and campaigns are useful when analytics is allowed.
- Comply with law, protect our rights, and prevent fraud or misuse.
3. Analytics, cookies, and browser storage
Analytics starts opted out, and PostHog does not load unless you select Allow. Your browser stores your Allow or Decline preference so we can remember it. If you allow analytics, PostHog uses browser storage to recognize a device across visits and send the limited events described above. We also honor the browser's Do Not Track signal where supported.
You can change your decision at any time using Privacy choices in the footer. Declining stops future PostHog collection from that browser and resets its analytics identifier. Strictly necessary storage used for your privacy preference and basic Site operation is not disabled.
4. When we share information
We share information only as reasonably needed with:
- Service providers that host and secure the Site, deliver inquiry emails, or provide analytics when you allow it. These currently include our hosting and content-delivery providers, SendGrid for inquiry email delivery, and PostHog for optional analytics.
- Professional advisers or authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect safety or rights, or address a dispute.
- A successor if the business is reorganized, sold, or transferred, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. How long we keep information
Inquiry details may remain in our business email and limited service logs. We keep them only as long as reasonably needed to respond, plan or provide services, maintain required business and tax records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Analytics data is kept according to the settings and retention period of our PostHog account. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed.
6. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask what personal information we hold, request a copy, correct it, or ask us to delete it. You may also withdraw analytics consent at any time. We will verify and respond to valid requests as required by applicable law.
To make a request, use our contact form and write “Privacy request” in the message. We will use the information you provide only to verify and handle the request. Because we do not sell or use personal information for targeted advertising, there is no separate sale or targeted-advertising opt-out process.
7. Children's privacy
The Site and inquiry form are intended for adults arranging events and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Security and third-party links
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be completely secure. The Site may link to social networks or other third-party services; their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
9. Updates and contact
We may update this policy as the Site or our practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. For privacy questions or requests, please use our contact form.
